Rabbi Michael Mauricio Fel is excited and proud to serve as the Assistant Rabbi of Temple Emunah. Originally from Miami, Florida, Rabbi Fel earned a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Miami. He went on to receive his ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary where he learned as a Schusterman Rabbinic Fellow and earned a Master’s Degree in Midrash and Scriptural Interpretation.

Through his varied work with children and adults, Rabbi Fel has led community service missions to Buenos Aires, Argentina; Muchucuxcah, Mexico (pronounced Mucha-kooch-ka); Philadelphia; Washington DC and New Orleans. In addition to his work in the community, Rabbi Fel also regularly updates his Twitter account: TheTweetedTorah, through which he teaches Torah to over 275 individuals on a daily basis. For the past four summers, Rabbi Fel has worked at Camp Ramah in Nyack, NY where he served as the camp’s Program Director and the Director of Woodworking.

Rabbi Fel and his wife, Shayna (past NERUSY president), were married last June in Providence, RI and they enjoy cooking, cycling, speaking Spanish (Rabbi Fel’s family is from Argentina) and exploring the outdoors.
