How can you Help the Ladle Fund continue to support community building?

The future of the Ladle Fund depends on members of the Temple Emunah community continuing to both volunteer and participate in the events it helps support as well as make financial contributions to the Ladle Fund itself.

The following are some ways in which you can financially support the Ladle Fund’s mission of community building at Temple Emunah:

  • Fill out the form on your membership dues form or on the monthly bulletin
  • Go on-line to the Membership Log-in page of the Temple Emunah website and click on Donations
  • Call or email the main office: 781-861-0300 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

How can you request funding from the Ladle Fund?

Requests for funding from the Ladle Fund can be made by completing our Ladle Fund Request for Funds (RFF) form. Once this form has been filled out it can be submitted for consideration via emailing to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

The Committee asks that all requests be for activities align with the Ladle Fund Mission. Priority will be given to funding requests for innovative activities that are outside the scope of other Temple committees.

Requests should be submitted at least two months in advance of the date of the activity/event. This will allow the committee to thoroughly consider and evaluate the request and provide a response in time for planning and budgeting. Should an emerging need come up in a shorter time-frame, the committee will review the request as time permits.

Please note that not all requests can be granted, but those that align with the mission of the Ladle Fund will be considered. Thank you.

What is a Theme Minyan?

A Theme Minyan is a low-stress friendly gathering hosted and facilitated by temple members occurring directly after the weekly evening minyan.
Theme-minyanim serve two important purposes:

i. Encourage more people to attend evening minyan.

ii. Build community by bringing together temple members, and interested parties, to discuss a topic of mutual interest and get to know each other better.

Theme Minyanim gatherings focus on conversations hosted and facilitated by temple members over a topic of mutual interest with community building via people-to-people connections as the main goal. The Ladle Fund sponsors these events.

Examples of Past Theme Minyanim include:

  • MIT
  • Davids
  • Jewish Humor
  • Stepmothers Night
  • Israel
  • Miriams
  • Science
  • Poetry
  • Gann Academy
  • Crafts (knitting, crochet)
  • Healthcare Professionals
  • Play Reading
  • Emunah Riders
  • Scrabble
  • Caregivers
