Israeli TV: Theme Night at Minyan

It started with Srugim, then moved on to Shtisel - who knew American and Israeli audiences would both become so attached to Orthodox families living in Israel! On Netflix it's Fauda - a hard look at the pains on both sides of the Palestinian issue, as well as When Heros Fly - an engaging and realistic view of PTSD. Based on the true events which led to the outbreak of war in Gaza is Our Boys - a controversial and painful HBO production; and now we wait with anticipation for A Touch Away and Shabanikim.

All are invited to this Theme Night at Minyan on Wednesday, January 29 (snow date February 12) with Rachel Raz and Joelle Gunther, as we discuss the themes and popularity of these TV shows, as well as the impact they have on audiences, both Israelis and Jewish Americans. Theme Nights at Minyan begin at 7:30 PM with evening minyan and include light snacks, sponsored by The Ladle Fund. They are free to attend and all ages are encouraged to participate! FLYER
