Studying Psalms with Rabbi Lerner

A treasury of our people's hopes, pain, and praise, the book of Psalms is one of the most commonly read, but seldom fully understood, books of the Bible. After exploring the language of each psalm, we will attempt to understand its context and meaning more fully. In response to what theological need was it written? How has it been utilized by our tradition? How can it be meaningful to us in the year 5780 (2019-2020)? And how can the psalms inspire us to be more creative in our own personal tefillot (prayers)? All are welcome to attend this free Adult Ed class. Final session will meet Sunday, January 26, 9:45 - 11:00 AM. FLYER
