Tot Shabbat meets at 11:00 AM, usually on the first and third Shabbats of the month (please check the Temple calendar for exact dates). This service is a one-hour long celebration of Shabbat with singing and dancing intended for toddlers, preschoolers and their parents. It is led by the Rabbis and by our community members. It includes basic prayers, a Torah march, and a story. We conclude with hallah and grape juice, and then join the main congregation for Adom Olam and a Kiddush Lunch. This service is free and open to all (non-members are encouraged to join us!); and no RSVP is necessary. UPDATED SCHEDULE FOR 2017-18
Led by Tova Weinronk, one of our Synagoge Educators, Mini Minyan is a drop-off experience for all students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. During this service we pray, sing songs, play games, learn about the Torah portion, and learn about Shabbat in a small, intimate setting. We end by joining the main service for Adon Olam and for Kiddush lunch. We meet approximately twice a month in the Multipurpose room starting at 11:00 AM.
Led by Beni Summers, Junior Congregation is a drop-off experience for all students in 3rd through 6th grade in the Pious Chapel. Come learn new tunes, test your knowledge of Shabbat services and the Torah portion, and make new friends! Whether you go to Shabbat services every week or it's your first time, we encourage you to join us as we daven twice a month.
We would like you to join us as we explore our spirituality through a variety of davening experiences. Our davening follows the basic structure and prayers of a Shabbat service and may include:
• D'var Torah discussions
The atmosphere is relaxed and we encourage people to participate in whatever manner they are comfortable. If you would like more information about Minyan Katan please contact either Mike Gildesgame or Sharon Zirkin-Dagan.
Minyan, Breakfast, and Study with the Rabbis
Over a light breakfast, Rabbis Lerner and Fel teach about the Halakhah (Jewish legal) and spiritual aspects of prayer. Join us each week after minyan for breakfast and learning. Minyan at 7:00 AM, breakfast follows at 7:35 AM. This event is every Wednesday morning, and is open to all! Click HERE for our flyer.
At Temple Emunah we regularly host speakers, lead special discussions, engage in alternative spiritual services, offer meditation, and offer a myriad of other experiences during Shabbat morning services. Please check our calendar for the next Synaplex!
Led by members of our community, our meditation group meets approximately once a month for a variety of meditative Shabbat experiences. This can include: guided meditation, singing niggunim (melodies), chanting prayers, or brief teachings on either meditation practices or the Torah portion. Click HERE for our 2017-2018 dates.
